Thursday was spent mostly brainstorming for the commercials we will be filming next week. When I came in today, Ms. Kolar shared an idea she had for a commercial. "Come Along with KSET" she told me. It will be a show-but-really-an-advertisement type of video where we have a host go into a local business and find out more about how they run, what they do, etc. It will all be at least semi- scripted of course, and the business owners will know the interview questions before hand. The interview questions will be more of a guide as to what I (or any other director) want the business owners to say. We also thought of the perfect host for said show. Mr. Suit, we call him. He was a freelancer who stopped in earlier this week in a suit. He had more experience in front of the camera, as a newscaster, than behind the camera. We thought he would be perfect for the role of the show's host.
Friday was more tame. Today I mostly did paperwork. I wrote (copied more like) some legal documents, and fixed them up to fit our business. Today we also budgeted how much to charge for our services. towards the end of the day, the stuff we ordered on tuesday arrived, but it was too late to test what needed testing out, so I took them home and tested them here. They seem to work great.
